The School for Marine Science and Technology at the University of
Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications from qualified students to
our Masters and Ph.D. programs to work on problems relating to ocean
turbulence and mixing. Present research areas include numerical modeling
of small-scale mixing in the ocean and/or oceanographic field studies
using dye and drifter release experiments. Positions carry a tuition
waiver, as well as an annual stipend.

A bachelors or masters degree in oceanography, physics, engineering,
applied mathematics or related field is required. Applicants should have
strong mathematical and computer skills and some background in physical
and/or earth sciences. Review of applications is ongoing and will
continue until positions are filled. Full-time enrollment beginning Fall
